Goals
This class is for those who wish to read and write at a daily conversational level. This class prepares students for post-secondary institutes, employment, and life in Japanese society through necessary, advanced Japanese. Students in this class aim to pass Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1.
Lower Advanced Class
- Listening
- Able to understand conversations, movies, and news broadcasts where the contents are unpredictable.
- Speaking
- Able to change speaking styles depending on who you are speaking to. Able to speak about complicated topics from different viewpoints.
- Reading
- Able to read and understand long and complicated compositions.
- Writing
- Able to organize and write compositions containing several points.
Upper Advanced Class
- Listening
- Able to understand any kind of conversations or words (at any speed, dialect, or personal speaking styles).
- Speaking
- Able to express oneself naturally and correctly and able to actively participate in conversations.
- Reading
- Able to read and understand any kind of written material (able to understand abstract writing or novels).
- Writing
- Able to write compositions with the reader in mind that leave an impression on the reader.
