The long term course requires a student visa. The student visa can be renewed anytime during the course duration.The length of the long term course can be 1 year, 1 year 3 months, 1 year 6 months, 1 year 9 months, and 2 years long.
This course is recommended for students who are very serious about studying Japanese or are planning to enter a Japanese post-secondary institute.

In principle, a student cannot change the course once then begin studying.
Depending on capacity and the number of applicants, some applicants may have to be turned down even if they applied during the application period.
